During Friday’s (November 22) English test for the position of Deputy Assistant Director of the Wage Earners Welfare Board, there was a question concerning Abu Saeed. In response to the question, what is the name of the village of martyr Abu Saeed? Here are the four options: Mahimaganj, Bahanpur, Parvatipur, and Pirganj. By the way, Abu Sayeed was born in 2001 to Maqbul Hossain and Monowara Begum in Babanpur village in the Pirganj upazila of Rangpur district. Out of six brothers and three sisters, Abu Saeed is the youngest.

 

Abu Saeed participated in the student agitation for quota reform before being shot and killed in Rangpur on July 16.. In July, Abu Saeed was shot and killed in Rangpur. The nationwide movement grew more intense as the incident’s video went viral. The quota reform movement’s platform, the anti-discrimination student movement, once joined the campaign with the single demand that the Sheikh Hasina administration quit. In the August 5 student-public protest, Sheikh Hasina resigned as prime minister and departed the country. Afterward, on August 8, Dr. Muhammad Yunus was put in charge of the newly established interim administration.
