Pakistan to provide scholarships to 100 Bangladeshi students
Pakistan has approved scholarships for 100 Bangladeshi students. The country’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the matter. The country’s media outlet Sama TV reported this information in a report on Wednesday (November 20).
It said that after the Bangladesh government lifted the ban on Pakistani students studying at Dhaka University, Pakistan has decided to provide scholarships to 100 Bangladeshi students as a goodwill gesture. This has created the possibility of Bangladeshis getting higher education in Pakistan.
The report also said that relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan are increasing after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government.
A source told Sama News that the Pakistani High Commissioner in Bangladesh is working the most on this issue.
Pakistani universities will add Bangladeshi universities to their own portals to provide scholarships.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh and Pakistan had cooperative relations in education before. However, it was closed for a long time. But after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, this cooperative relationship is going to start again between the two countries.
Cooperative relations have already been established in other sectors. Last week, a cargo ship arrived directly in Chittagong from Karachi, Pakistan and anchored.
