Mushfiqur ruled out of ODI series, Shakib-Shanto may return
Mushfiqur Rahim will not be able to play the ODI series after the Test series against the West Indies due to a finger injury that has not recovered. However, the condition of Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who was injured in the knee, is improving. Although he was not seen in the Test series before, it is believed that Shanto may return to the ODI series against the West Indies. This information was revealed by a BCB source on Saturday (November 23).
Meanwhile, along with Shanto, Tanzim Shakib may also return to the national team with the ODI series. He was not in the series against Afghanistan due to an injury last October. The pacer is now in the West Indies after passing the fitness test. However, before joining the national team, he will play for Guyana Amazon in the Global Super League.
It is worth noting that Mushfiqur injured his finger while keeping in the first match of the ODI series against Afghanistan. And this experienced batter was ruled out of the ODI series due to this injury.
Bangladesh will play the Caribbean team in the first Test in Antigua. The second Test will be in Jamaica on November 30. The three ODIs will be held on December 8, 10 and 12 respectively. This will be followed by a three-match T20I series.
