The Israeli army said that sirens sounded in the skies over central and northern Israel, including Tel Aviv. In addition, they repelled several missiles fired at northern Israel.

The Israeli army admitted that 250 projectile missiles were fired from Lebanon. However, shortly after this, Israeli Army Radio reported that 340 missiles were fired from Lebanon.

Medical organizations said that 11 people were seriously injured in these attacks. The attack was launched from Lebanon a day after 29 people were killed in an Israeli attack in central Beirut. The Lebanese Health Ministry said that 66 more people were injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Lebanese caretaker government, Nazik Mikati, condemned the attack as an aggression against the ongoing US ceasefire efforts. At the same time, he said that through the attack, Israel sent a “bloody message” of its rejection of the ceasefire.

On the other hand, the European Union’s top diplomat called for more pressure to reach a consensus between Hezbollah and Israel to end the fighting. Diplomatic sources said that the Israeli government is hanging over a final ceasefire agreement.
