Gaza hospital under Israeli siege, Lebanon ceasefire talks ‘progress’

According to the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, the institution, which is devoid of the necessary supplies to treat the malnourished children, received 17 of them. No one or any medication is allowed into the building while Israeli forces fire on it.

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem is scheduled to give a speech on ceasefire talks in Israel this evening, while US envoy Amos Hochstein is in Beirut for a second day.
Speaking from Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares that Hamas will no longer rule the area and offers a prize of $5 million for the return of Israeli prisoners detained there.

Three Lebanese troops were killed by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon last night, and another was killed this morning, as the UN peacekeeping presence in the region (UNIFIL) reports that a rocket, most likely fired by “non-state actors,” injured four Ghanaian peacekeepers.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s genocide in Gaza has resulted in at least 43,985 Palestinian deaths and 104,092 injuries. During the day’s Hamas-led strikes in Israel, an estimated 1,139 people were killed and over 200 were captured.
Since the start of the war on Gaza, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have resulted in at least 3,544 fatalities and 15,036 injuries.
