Armed Forces Day today

Happy Armed Forces Day to everyone.

The military forces engage in disaster relief, infrastructure development, humanitarian assistance, civil administration support, and nation-building tasks in addition to their professional responsibilities. By carrying out their responsibilities with diligence in UN peacekeeping missions, members of the armed forces have improved the nation’s reputation abroad.

Armed Forces Day is today, November 21. There will be a dignified and enthusiastic celebration of the day. The day’s activities will start with special prayers for the nation’s wellbeing and prosperity held in mosques across all cantonments, naval facilities, and air force bases following Fajr prayers.

A separate message was delivered by Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Md. Shahabuddin on the occasion of the day. “The common people have appreciated the armed forces’ sense of responsibility, patience, and patriotism in the mass uprising of the students and the public in July-August,” the President stated in the statement. I’m hoping that the participants of the military will uphold the honour of the military and be wholly devoted to the government and its leadership, along with hard work and patriotism.

According to Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, “the armed forces are the last hope of the affected people in all natural disasters including floods, droughts, storms, rains, and cyclones, starting from the country’s freedom struggle.” As usual, the Bangladesh Armed Forces have supported the people during this crucial period for the nation. I want to thank you for helping the civil administration with everything from the mass student, worker, and public uprising to handling the flood situation later on, securing industries, enhancing the nation’s law and order situation, and recovering weapons. I hope that in defending independence, the military will continue to cooperate with the populace as well as national sovereignty.
