Rebels celebrate by stepping on a statue of Bashar’s father, AK-47s in hand.
Daily updated news International 09 December 2024 Rebels celebrate by stepping on a statue of Bashar’s father, AK-47s in hand. The Al-Assad family has ruled Syria for more than 50 years. Finally, on Sunday (December 8), armed rebels took control of the city of Damascus. Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has left Damascus by plane, according to various international media outlets. It is reported that he has finally taken up residence in Russia. The BBC has claimed this, citing Russian news agencies. Meanwhile, celebrations are underway in the country due to the overthrow of the ‘dictator’ Bashar Al-Assad. Many say that Bashar’s tyranny has come to an end. However, several incidents have also occurred since the overthrow of Bashar Al-Assad. First, after the fall of the 24-year dictatorial regime, the country’s citizens have stormed the palace of President Bashar Al-Assad in Syria. They have looted and vandalized the president’s luxurious residence. As soon as the news of Assad’s flight from the country became public, ordinary people entered the presidential palace. The picture has already spread on social media and international media. It shows that men and women of all ages have entered the palace. They are freely taking various items as if they were their own! In some videos, ordinary people are seen carrying large bags and looting various items used by the president from the palace. Among them, the list includes oil, soap, shampoo, Assad’s pen, watch, his wife’s shoes, and cosmetics. Secondly, Syrians are standing on a statue of Hafez al-Assad, the father of Bashar al-Assad, in Aleppo, Syria, rejoicing. Happy with the news that the dictator has fled the country, Syrians are breaking the statue of Hafez and standing on it to express their sense of freedom. Thirdly, the head of the statue of Hafez al-Assad, the father of Bashar al-Assad, is seen lying on the street. By stepping on that head, the rebels are indicating that Bashar is free and Syria is free. A video circulating on social media shows a rebel standing on the head of a statue of Hafez al-Assad, holding a Russian-made Kalashnikov or AK-47. There have been about 16,500 murders in the last five years of Sheikh Hasina.
Daily updated news International 09 December 2024 There have been about 16,500 murders in the last five years of Sheikh Hasina. The police headquarters publishes monthly statistics on the website on how many and what types of crimes have occurred in various places across the country, such as how many cases or GDs have been filed. However, for unknown reasons, from September 2018 to December 2023, crime statistics were stopped from being posted on the website. After the latest new IGP took office, journalists raised the issue at a press conference; the police immediately published the statistics on the website. Some frightening information was found there; in those 5 years of Awami rule, there were 16,355 murders. An average of 3,311 murders per year. In these 5 years, there were 9,955 cases of robbery. And 1,685 cases of robbery. 55,000 theft complaints have been filed at police stations. However, in reality, these incidents are even higher. Because most victims do not show interest in filing theft and robbery cases. Police case statistics say that there were 2,452 kidnapping incidents in the last 5 years of Sheikh Hasina’s rule. Inamul Haque Sagar, Assistant Inspector General of Police Headquarters, said that a review of crime is being conducted. The police chief has given instructions to improve the situation. He said that the police conduct research on what type of crime occurs in which area and why it occurs. Accordingly, measures are taken to reduce crime. The new government has taken charge of the country after Sheikh Hasina fled in the mass uprising. However, crime has not stopped yet. Social crimes have increased because the police are not fully active in the police stations. The violence of theft and robbery gangs has also increased. Analysts believe that the law enforcement agencies will have to work on the crime sector. They also believe that reducing the prices of goods and keeping people comfortable will reduce crime. Sheikh Hafizur Rahman Karzon, a teacher and crime analyst at Dhaka University, said that incidents like theft and robbery largely depend on the goodwill of the law enforcement agencies. If they are strict, they can completely control it. However, crimes like murder depend on the socio-economic conditions in the country. If the economic and social aspects are good, these crimes occur less. Overall, the police are most concerned about domestic crimes in crime control. In this regard, the force wants to increase awareness activities with the participation of public representatives and prominent figures in society. Bangladesh gives concessions to Pakistanis on important issues, India reacts strongly
Daily updated news International 07 December 2024 Bangladesh gives concessions to Pakistanis on important issues, India reacts strongly The interim government led by Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus has now lifted the requirement of security clearance for Pakistani citizens wishing to visit Bangladesh. The move is believed to be an indication of Bangladesh’s new diplomatic and political approach to strengthening ties with Pakistan. This was mentioned in a report by Indian media outlet NDTV on Saturday (December 7) local time. It said that in 2019, the requirement of obtaining this security clearance was made mandatory in view of the tension in Bangladesh-Pakistan relations and security concerns. However, on December 2, 2024, the Security Services Department (SSD) of the Bangladesh Home Ministry announced the lifting of this condition. Recently, Pakistan High Commissioner to Dhaka Syed Ahmed Maruf met BNP leader Khaleda Zia. After that, this policy basically changed. This November, the interim government allowed direct cargo ships from Karachi to Chittagong, which is another unique example of strengthening relations between the two countries. According to the NDTV report, the BNP has historically maintained close relations with Pakistan. On the other hand, the Awami League government led by ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always been known as a close ally of India. Meanwhile, this change in Bangladesh’s visa policy has increased concerns about the security of northeastern India. According to Indian security experts, this change could affect India-Bangladesh relations and bring an important turning point in Bangladesh’s geopolitical position. In this regard, Mubashar Hasan, Executive Director of the Sydney Policy and Analysis Center, said that by normalizing relations with India’s adversary Pakistan, Bangladesh is now indicating that it no longer wants to view South Asian politics from an India-centric perspective. However, the question remains as to how effective this will be for Bangladesh in the long run. Meanwhile, experts have mentioned that gaps in India’s neighborhood policy are becoming clear. Although the Bangladesh government has repeatedly expressed its interest in maintaining friendly relations with India, there has been no significant response from India. Experts believe that this situation signals a major shift in the geopolitics and security of South Asia. Multiple cases, including terrorism charges, against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi
Daily updated news International 29 November 2024 Multiple cases, including terrorism charges, against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi Pakistan’s government has filed multiple charges, including terrorism charges, against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, and hundreds of PTI activists. The case was filed against them for protesting in Islamabad this week. Al Jazeera News Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, along with others, have been charged with terrorism for protesting in the capital Islamabad in violation of the law. Meanwhile, at least 1,000 PTI activists have been arrested in connection with the protests. PTI founder Imran Khan has been in jail on multiple charges since August 2023. His wife Bushra Bibi was released last October after nine months in prison. Responding to Imran Khan’s call, thousands of party activists reached Islamabad to protest. The government took strict measures to prevent the protests, but the PTI was able to ignore them. The protest was led by Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur, the PTI chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. On Tuesday afternoon, when the protesters planned to reach a designated location with their protest, Pakistani paramilitary forces opened fire on them. Then, in the evening, law enforcement agencies conducted a two-hour operation to clear the area. As a result, Bushra Bibi and Gandapur left the scene that night and went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Israel claims to have killed 3,500 fighters in Lebanon
Daily updated news International 29 November 2024 Israel claims to have killed 3,500 fighters in Lebanon The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed to have killed 3,500 Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon. The Times of Israel reported this information on Thursday (November 28) quoting the defense forces. In a report, the media outlet said that the IDF estimates that its attacks have killed about 3,500 Hezbollah members in the past 14 months of fighting since the Gaza war on October 7, 2023. Most of them died during the ground offensive in southern Lebanon that has been ongoing since September. The Israeli military said that in addition to the 3,500 fighters killed, about 7,000 fighters were seriously and moderately injured in these attacks. They are now unable to fight. However, Hezbollah has not commented on this Israeli claim. Although the Lebanese Ministry of Health regularly reports casualty figures, it never mentions exactly how many of them are Hezbollah members. Incidentally, a ceasefire began in Lebanon on Wednesday (November 27) after a long period of conflict. Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire after more than a year of fighting. The ceasefire took effect at 4 a.m. local time (8 a.m. Bangladesh time). The initial period of the agreement will be 60 days. It will be extended later. Earlier on Tuesday, US President Joe Biden announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah. According to him, the agreement was made possible by the mediation of the United States and France. Speaking at the White House, Biden said that the Israeli Security Cabinet approved the agreement by a 10-1 vote. He spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati. He said that the agreement is designed to create a permanent ceasefire. Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations will no longer be able to threaten Israel’s security. Civilians on both sides will soon be able to safely return to their respective communities. The initial period of the agreement will be 60 days. It will be extended later. It is expected that the agreement will end the bloody conflict between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah that has been going on for more than a year. Thousands of military and civilian casualties have been caused by this conflict. Israeli bombardment of central Gaza kills 26 Palestinians
Daily updated news International 29 November 2024 Israeli bombardment of central Gaza kills 26 Palestinians Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed 26 Palestinians, medical workers said on Thursday (November 28). Israeli forces also bombed central Gaza and carried out tank attacks deep into the north and south. Reuters The deadly attack on Gaza by Tel Aviv came a day after a ceasefire between the Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and Israel. Meanwhile, the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel has come into effect, prompting many Palestinians to hope that a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel will be reached and that the more than year-long conflict in Gaza will end. On October 7 last year, the Palestinian independence movement Hamas launched a historic offensive in southern Israel. Israel then launched a devastating offensive on Gaza in retaliation, which has been ongoing for more than a year. It has displaced 2.3 million people in Gaza. Amal Abu Hameed, a woman displaced from Gaza, said, “I hope there will be a ceasefire in Gaza like in Lebanon. Because I want to show my children my land, I want to show them my home. I want to show them what Israel has done to us. We want to live in safety.” Latest news 29 Nov Israeli bombardment of central Gaza kills 26 Palestinians 29 Nov Landslide in Uganda: 15 bodies recovered, many casualties feared 28 Nov ISKCON will not take responsibility for expelled Chinmay 26 Nov Serious case against Trump dismissed 26 Nov Israeli attack kills 31 more in Lebanon 26 Nov 13-year-old Vaibhav gets a team in IPL, setting a record 26 Nov Rishad not sold in IPL despite getting a team in Big Bash 26 Nov Fans demand IPL boycott over Shakib-Mustafiz not being included in team 25 Nov 4 killed in clashes over mosque in India, Jamaat protests 25 Nov Government does not support vandalism of newspaper offices: ICT Advisor All Posts All over the country Cricket Economy Education Campus Entertainment Football Freelance Updates Health and Fitness International Job Market LIve Sports National Politics Sports Uncategorized Israeli bombardment of central Gaza kills 26 Palestinians November 29, 2024/No CommentsRead More Landslide in Uganda: 15 bodies recovered, many casualties feared November 29, 2024/No Comments Daily updated news International 29 November 2024 Landslide in Uganda: 15 bodies recovered, many casualties feared At least 15 bodies… Read More ISKCON will not take responsibility for expelled Chinmay November 28, 2024/No Comments Daily updated news National 28 November 2024 ISKCON will not take responsibility for expelled Chinmay (November 28) afternoon.
