The fights between students from Dhaka College and City College have resulted in over two hundred injuries on both sides. In light of this, the administration of City College has declared that tomorrow, Thursday, November 21, courses will not be held.

On the evening of Wednesday, November 20, this message was posted on the City College website.

According to a brief announcement written by Professor Kazi Neyamul Haque, the acting principal of the college, all courses will be suspended tomorrow, Thursday, November 21, for unavoidable reasons.

The relocation of City College from the Science Lab intersection was one of the nine demands made by the Dhaka College Teachers’ Council earlier, following the altercation.

Earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, November 20, a fight broke out between Dhaka College and City College students. Following information, police and army personnel arrived on the scene and attempted to maintain order. They used sound bombs and tear shells to break up the fight at one point.
