However, if you soak them for thirty minutes to two hours, our body can absorb their nutrients better. Soaking them during this time makes the seeds softer. You can make chia pudding or something like that with chia seeds prepared in this way.

Why don’t soak chia seeds for a long time: There are many people who soak chia seeds overnight and eat them in the morning. Soaking them for a long time causes the seeds to absorb more water and become more sticky, slippery and mushy. However, it is not necessary to soak it for a long time like overnight to get its nutritional value. The omega-3 fatty acids, proteins and fibers contained in it can be soaked for a short time and get the same nutritional value.

Can you eat dry chia seeds: It is not good to eat dry chia seeds. If someone eats dry chia seeds, their body will absorb water from the digestive tract. As a result, there is a possibility of gas in the stomach and discomfort. It can even cause problems with digestion. That is why chia seeds have to be soaked in water. And when soaked, the outer part of the seeds becomes slippery and soft. Which is also very easy to digest after eating.
