The two-day IPL mega auction is starting. The auction will begin at 4 pm Bangladesh time on Sunday (November 24) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of 574 cricketers will be put up for auction. Among them, there are 12 Bangladeshi cricketers.

1,574 cricketers showed interest in the auction, but in the end, 577 made it to the list. Of these, 367 are Indians and 210 are foreigners.

England has the most foreign players with 38, with Jofra Archer joining at the last minute. Next in line are Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. The list of 12 countries also includes cricketers from the United States, Ireland, and Scotland. As usual, Pakistani cricketers are not in the draft for the auction.

Each team can bring a maximum of 25 cricketers to its camp. Meanwhile, there are 12 Bangladeshi cricketers in the IPL auction. However, no Bangladeshi is being put up for auction on the first day. Whether Mustafiz-Shakib’s names will be included on the second day also depends on the interest of the franchises.

There are 82 cricketers in the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore in 8 categories. Where Bangladesh’s only representative is Mustafizur Rahman. Shakib, Taskin, Miraj are priced at Rs 1 crore. The rest will have to be bought for at least Rs 75 lakh. The base price of the most 322 people is Rs 30 lakh.

Rajasthan Royals has spent the most on retaining cricketers. So they have only Rs 41 crore in their hands in the auction. And Preity Zinta’s team Punjab Kings can spend the most at the auction, Rs 110.5 crore. They have retained only 2 people. Rs 120 crore has been allocated for each franchise to assemble the team.
