A few weeks earlier, Iran had fired about 200 ballistic missiles at Israeli territory in retaliation. Israel attacked Iran in response on October 26. Four Iranian soldiers were killed in that attack.

Ali Larijani said, “This is an incident that should be allowed for our soldiers to make the right decision. I know they are thinking of multiple ways to reach the right decision.” He said the matter is related to Iran’s national interests, so it is being approached with great caution.

On October 27, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei gave the necessary instructions to take appropriate action against Zionist Israel.
